Jennifer Hitt’s coaching career with Special Olympics Illinois began 20 years ago when she was approached by an athlete who asked the simple question, “Will you coach me in gymnastics so that I can go to state?” Jennifer’s answer was of course yes and the rest was history. Since then, Jennifer served as the 2014 USA Games – Illinois Gymnastics Head Coach; 2015 World Games – USA Gymnastics Coach; 2018 USA Games – Illinois Gymnastics Head Coach and will serve as the 2019 World Games Abu Dhabi Gymnastics Coach. Watching the pure joy of an athlete when they achieve a goal, master a new skill, or receive an award continues to be her favorite moments and memories. Coach Jennifer is honored to be attending the 2019 World Games and looks forward to experiencing the culture of Abu Dhabi!
