Ayesha Abdul-Jillil has been competing in Special Olympics for 11 years in athletics, bowling, and snowshoeing. Ayesha competed in athletics at 2018 Special Olympics USA Games, won gold in the 100m and recited the Special Olympics athlete oath at Opening Ceremony! However, bowling is her favorite and her high game is 212. She is also an office assistant for Special Olympics Alaska. Special Olympics has changed her life by competing in sports, having a job and being independent. In her free time, Ayesha enjoys adult coloring and shooting hoops. Ayesha comes from a very driven and athletic family, from two of her sisters dancing professionally for artists such as Britney Spears and Janet Jackson, to her dad owning his own business. She even listed her siblings as her role models, as they compete in all sports. Attending the Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019 is a dream come true for Ayesha, as these are her first World Games. You need to see her reaction video when she found out she was selected! She's looking forward to making friends with people from all over the world and representing Alaska and the United States!
