John Wrenn will represent the USA in athletics at the Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019. Watch out competition – John loves to run fast and he proved that in Seattle this past summer. He competed in both the Pentathlon and 4x400 relay at the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games. Over the years, John has overcome many obstacles like self-negativity and learning to read, but he is most proud of the fact that he never gives up. Outside of sports, John has a job cleaning the office at Special Olympics/Catholic Children’s Charities once a week, and he loves fishing and hiking. John also served as the basketball manager at New Trier High School where he later graduated from. His favorite runner is Jesse Owens. John looks forward to meeting new athletes from different countries, experiencing a different culture and traveling. #Cheer4USA!
