Jonathan “300” Harmon has always loved bowling. At age nine, Jon found his place at the bowling alley and bowling quickly became his passion! He bowled in his first tournament that year and took first place in singles and second in doubles. Jon was truly hooked! In 2012, he joined Special Olympics and the Boise Ghostbusters Bowling Team. The first year he took gold and was ecstatic! Jon has taken gold every year since and in 2015 his hard work and passion paid off as he bowled a 300 game during the Special Olympics Idaho State Tournament. It was the highlight of Jon’s life! Jon currently bowls in a men’s night league every Wednesday and has bowled 11 games at a perfect score of 300 since the start of his bowling career. Jon’s brother Carl has caught on to Jon’s love of bowling and now both brothers bowl and win medals together. Outside of bowling, Jon works at Albertson’s as a courtesy clerk and has been there for 16 years. He also loves to play disc golf with his brother and friends. He’s extremely excited to travel to Abu Dhabi for Special Olympics World Games and he hopes to bring home the gold for the USA!
