Jyl O'Brien-Williams began volunteering with Special Olympics as a high school student. Fast forward to today and she's preparing to support Special Olympics USA for the fourth time at a World Games competition. Her favorite moment thus far was when she helped an athlete persevere and successfully compete after thinking she may need to withdraw from team competition. After trying a few new taping techniques, the athlete and her team went on to not only compete, but they won the gold medal!
