Teresa Crudele-Seidel grew up in Winfield, Illinois with her parents and two brothers. She has been a part of the movement ever since her big brother Johnny began Special Olympics Illinois Motor Activities Training Program in 1992. Teresa has been a multi-sport athlete all her life, competing in soccer, volleyball, gymnastics and dance in high school. She attended Augustana College where she continued her athletic career in soccer and dance captaining both teams her senior year. After graduation, Teresa moved into the world of digital media and became the first Social Media Architect for Epsilon Marketing Agency. While she loved being the social advocate and “voice” for some of the world’s top brands, she knew there were others like her brother Johnny who needed that voice more. In 2011, Teresa left the corporate world to pursue her digital dreams in the nonprofit sector with Special Olympics. She is now the Director of Sports and Integrated Marketing at Special Olympics Illinois conceptualizing and executing innovative digital, social and mobile campaigns across the state. In her spare time, you can find her traveling, playing sports, dominating Pinterest DIY projects and being the most tech savvy daughter, sister, wife and mom!
