Emory Russell is a Special Olympics swimmer who will be representing her country at Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019! Despite being born with mosaic chromosome make-up, a genetic disorder, and also being diagnosed with turners and trisomy, Emory continues to defy the odds and turn heads in the pool. If she's not swimming, she also competes in basketball, volleyball, and cheerleading. She also kept busy in Girl Scouts, where she has completed the silver award. She says, "Special Olympics gives me the chance to compete with my peers, but not feel overwhelmed. It makes me feel like a winner!" In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her family, including two sisters and FIVE dogs!
