The "tenacious" Taegan Martin is proudly representing the beautiful state of Tennessee with Special Olympics USA. Her strong will has helped her overcome many obstacles with determination and a positive attitude. Taegan's faith and support of her family and friends motivates her to accomplish so many goals in life. She is honored to participate in Special Olympics along with other athletes who truly inspire everyone with their stories of triumph and perseverance. Taegan has always loved the water and has been swimming since she was three years old. Along with swimming, Taegan has competed in bowling and downhill skiing. Taegan has served as an Athlete Ambassador for Tennessee and Hawaii. In her spare time, Taegan enjoys Nashville Predators games, cheering on the UT Volunteers or spending time with family and friends. Taegan’s biggest role model is her mother who helped her succeed by encouraging her to do her best as her coach or cheerleader. Taegan is ready to bring home the gold!
