Ronald Smith.jpeg

Ronald Smith first joined Special Olympics Pennsylvania 14 years ago as a Unified Sports partner in softball and helped coach volleyball and floor hockey before becoming an athlete. Ronald lives with diabetes but doesn't let that stop him from playing in a men’s softball league and training with his volleyball team, the Clinton County Hawks, twice a week. Ronald has been named Athlete of the Year and received the Award of Valor during his time with Special Olympics. He looks up to his grandfather and is following in his footsteps as a mechanic and diesel technician at Five Star International. He wants to get as good as he can so he can make the USA proud.
