Amy Price of Van Buren, Arkansas, has competed in Special Olympics for 19 years. Her favorite sports include athletics, flag football, powerlifting and swimming. She will represent Special Olympics USA in athletics. She has competed in three Special Olympics USA Games in athletics and swimming. As a Health Messenger for the Special Olympics movement, Amy promotes Special Olympics Healthy Athletes® programming. Healthy Athletes has changed her lifestyle, motivating her to run two marathons.

For five years, Amy volunteered with the Paint Downtown Pink 5K, a community event benefiting Susan G. Komen®. Once Amy discovered her talent for running, she began running 5Ks, marathons and joined a running group, Women Run Arkansas. She encourages fellow runners in her involvement with the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics®. She is employed at Abilities Unlimited of Fort Smith, Inc., a non-profit serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

She is ready to show the world what a small-town girl from Arkansas can do at the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023.
