Lindsey Hayes of Glendale, Arizona, has participated in Special Olympics since she was 17, starting with basketball, gymnastics and swimming. Since, she has participated in bocce as well. In the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023, she will represent Special Olympics USA as an athlete in basketball. She is proudest of earning her high school diploma, attending college courses and achieving a first-degree black belt ranking in Taekwondo.
In 2023, Lindsay is volunteering for the Super Bowl Experience, hosted in Glendale. Lindsay is employed through RISE Services, Inc., an organization supporting those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In her free time, she goes to the movies, shops at the mall and tries new restaurants. She works with a personal trainer, who assigns her a training regimen, working to prepare for the World Games.
