Brandon Salvesen of Tooele, Utah, started coaching athletics for Special Olympics when his son began competing in 2017. The following year, he was recruited to coach basketball and bowling. He will represent Special Olympics USA as a Unified partner in bowling. In 2022, Brandon represented Special Olympics Utah at the Special Olympics USA Games coaching bowling. He is proudest when the athletes he coaches give their all, whether they win or lose.
Brandon inherited a love of bowling and baseball from his parents, who bowled on several leagues. A father himself, Brandon admires his children for all they accomplish and his wife for her support. He is employed at L3Harris as an engineering technician and bowls twice a week on local leagues. Spending time with Special Olympics athletes has changed his life, he will always cheer them on.
