Allison Dohrman of College Station, Texas, has participated in Special Olympics for 13 years, competing in athletics, bocce, bowling and cycling. She will represent Special Olympics USA in cycling. For Allison, learning to ride a bike was challenging. In time, she mastered the skill and will compete as a cyclist in the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023. Proud of all she has accomplished, Allison has completed job training programs and graduated high school, where she was named homecoming queen and was inducted into her school district’s senior hall of fame. Now employed at Prodigy Learning Center, a preschool, Allison helps prepare meals and upkeep the school. She also works as a hostess at Texas Roadhouse.

Preparing for World Games, Allison rides her bike and exercises frequently. Allison loves to sing and dance, a passion that led her to competing on a special needs cheer team. During the year, she attends Young Life Capernaum meetings and during the summer, she attends summer camps. She feels accomplished in her selection to represent Special Olympics USA, giving her more confidence in her own abilities.
