Maxwell “Max” Verduin of Orlando, Florida, has participated in Special Olympics for a year in cycling and powerlifting. His first time attending a Special Olympics World Games, Max will represent Special Olympics USA in cycling. For Max, this opportunity means watching his hard work pay off.
A student at Pathways For Life Academy, Max trains every day by riding his bike, working out and eating healthy. He enjoys playing video games and volunteers with youth programming at his church. He has also volunteered as a scare actor at a local haunted house. Max most admires his father for his determination in defending what he believes in. Inheriting that sense of determination, Max seeks to continue taking pride in his accomplishments at the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023.
