George "Les" Holcombe of Florence, Alabama, has competed as a Unified partner in golf since 2019. He will represent Special Olympics USA competing with his son Pryce in golf. As a Unified partner, Les competed in the 2019 Special Olympics North America Golf Championship in Tennessee and in the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games.
Les was an avid golf athlete in high school and college and now a golf professional at a local country club, where he runs operations. The highlight of his golfing career is competing with his son and being part of the Special Olympics community. Les has served on the board of directors for Transitions of Western Illinois. He and his wife, Pam, are parents to three sons, all of whom he greatly admires.
