Jack Yoes of Houston, Texas, became involved with Special Olympics more than 20 years ago and has served as a coach, a Unified partner and a technical delegate. He will represent Special Olympics USA as head coach in sailing. Special Olympics has enriched Jack’s life, as he takes great pride in the athletes he has trained to sail. A certified US Sailing Race Officer, US Club Judge and Keelboat Instructor, Jack also holds a volunteer administrative position with US Sailing for Race Officers in six states. In a coaching role, Jack attended the Special Olympics World Games in 2007 and 2011. In 2015, he attended as a technical delegate.
With a great passion for the sport, he continues to race and sails regularly to prepare for the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023.
