Gabriella Martin of Denver, Colorado, has participated in Special Olympics for 16 years, competing in bowling, soccer, swimming, tennis and volleyball. She will represent Special Olympics USA in tennis, competing alongside her sister Julianna, her Unified partner. Special Olympics has changed Gabriella’s life, teaching her to be more confident and independent. As an athlete, Gabriella is proud to cheer on her teammates and the athletes she competes against. Through Special Olympics Colorado, Gabriella is active in taking Athlete Leadership Programs courses.
Gabriella is employed at Polton Elementary School as a preschool paraprofessional. She most admires her parents, who dedicate their time to supporting Gabriella in her athletic endeavors, attending practices and competitions. She is excited to compete with her sister and meet other athletes while attending the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023.
