Safa is a University of Wisconsin-Madison student originally from Illinois. She has been a Unified partner with Special Olympics for six years, competing in Unified volleyball at the local level and on the Chicago Fire FC Unified soccer team since 2024. Safa is a member of the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Best Buddies Chapter, Doctors without Borders chapter and volunteers in the Madison community. Outside of school and soccer, Safa works as a CNA at a local hospital.
