Trent Hampton will be participating in the triathlon at the Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019. He has also attended and participated at the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games in Princeton, New Jersey. His outlook toward the upcoming Games includes thoughts of how the world of sport encourages teamwork, cooperative outcomes and helps in developing friendships. When asked who are his favorite role models, he stated that all the athletes, teachers and mentors he knows are all world class to him. If he was to change the world, Trent believes in Unity - working together. Since joining Special Olympics New York, Trent has been able to find discipline, responsibility and strength, as well as success in life. He is most proud of what he has overcome within the last decade. Trent’s other interests include being a certified yoga instructor and a coaching assistant for Special Olympics New York.
