Teresa Moore of Hilo, Hawaii, has competed in Special Olympics for more than 25 years in athletics, basketball, bocce, soccer and swimming. She will represent Special Olympics USA in athletics. Advocating on behalf of Special Olympics athletes, Teresa is an active Global Messenger, a role that allowed her the opportunity to travel to Panama. In 2006, she competed in the Special Olympics USA Games in Iowa.
In addition to her job at Goodwill Industries, Teresa serves on the parent teacher organization of her nephew's school. Traveling from one of the furthest corners of the United States, she anticipates learning more about other cultures as a part of the Special Olympics USA delegation.
