Brian “Bri” Johnson of East Greenwich, Rhode Island, has competed with Special Olympics for 14 years, participating in athletics, basketball, bocce, bowling, cycling, flag football and volleyball. He will represent Special Olympics USA in bocce. Through Special Olympics, Bri has met many new friends and has learned the importance of sportsmanship. In 2014, Bri competed in the Special Olympics USA Games in volleyball, where his team won gold.

Bri is employed at Market Basket grocery store in Warwick, Rhode Island. He is proud to work for an employer that prioritizes inclusive hiring and is grateful to his managers for their support. Bri has advocated for inclusion and has shared the impact of his Special Olympics experiences with students at a local school, where his mother teaches. His hobbies include making YouTube videos, painting rocks for people to find in his neighborhood and cheering for the New York Giants. Representing Special Olympics USA at the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023 means everything to Bri, no matter the outcome.
