Tiffany Carey of Minneapolis, Minnesota, started competing in bowling with Special Olympics at the age of 17. Since, she has competed in basketball, bowling, poly hockey and softball. She will represent Special Olympics USA in artistic gymnastics. In the 2006 Special Olympics USA Games, Tiffany won one gold, two silver and two bronze medals. Inspired by gymnast Simone Biles, Tiffany strongly believes in the power of teamwork, cheering on everyone who participates. As part of her training regimen, Tiffany walks over 5,000 steps every day and takes water aerobics classes twice weekly.

Part of a large family, Tiffany enjoys helping her six siblings with her nieces and nephews by attending their sports games and concerts, proudly cheering for them. In addition to competing, she performs the national anthem at Special Olympics Minnesota’s state-level gymnastics competitions. Competing in the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023 is the dream of a lifetime, one that she has been working hard to achieve.
