Emmanuel Rios Jr. of New York, New York, has competed as a Unified partner for two years and will represent Special Olympics USA in soccer at the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023. Attending the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games, Emmanuel is proud of his team’s achievement of winning gold. He is a student at Harvest Collegiate High School, an accredited Special Olympics Unified Champion School®, and serves as a student leader on the Youth Activation Council. Outside of soccer practice, he plays the drums and piano.
Inspired by his team, Emmanuel is proud of all he and his fellow athletes have been able to accomplish together. Being part of Special Olympics has allowed him to help and support others with improving in the sports they love to play.
